Book Review: Nature in Finland 2010 - Tarmo Lampinen

I order this book last month, sometime near my birthday..

How did i ended knowing this book?
  • Tarmo Lampinen is an awesome friend, a super kinerd, Kina's "adopted" brother, and of course an awesome photographer.. He tweeted some of his photos, and also post it on fb.. Those were really interesting.. He also had a website, which i forgot the link (note to my self: ask him!), contained more than 100 pictures, of birds, mushrooms, plants, and scenery..
How did i ended buying this book?
  • The money from this book's sale will go to his trip to Kinacon (in LA! And I also wanted to go!! But, i guess, i'll go next year!).. oh.. I also had some extra money at that time.. I know the book will be fun.. And Tarmo will definitely enjoy meeting his adopted family, and other Kinerds :)
  • I actually thinking of giving this to my sister.. But, after I had it, I know there is an oldddd friend of mine, who will love it more than my sister.. He's been nice to me, i guess it's time to send him something :)
The story behind it's arrival..

I was waiting for Kina's stairwell package.. (order here: If you haven't order, you should! It's super lovely, I had id replayed several times already!
Back to the story, I got a notice from post office yesterday, and i thought wooww.. stairwells finally here!! Then I remember my friend sent me something from Mexico.. So I was expecting either one of this.. excited.. yay.. I rush to the post office, lined up, and face the lady there.. She saw my card, and say "well, didn't you see the word here .. AVAILABLE TOMORROW.. so come back tomorrow, at this time".
Sighhh.. >_<
Then the next day, got a class till 13:00.. Had lunch, and I rush back to the post office..
The item finally on my hand.. I saw the sender.. US, Blurb.. Hmm I thought it should be from Kina..
What's this.. I completely forgot about this book..
I found a seat, and open the package.. the package was really big.. like around 30 cm x 40 cm!
And.. it was this cute little book :)
A bit shocking, but lovely!!
On my way back to bus, I open it.. Page by page.. reading the words, seeing the pictures.. lovely!
I chuckle a bit.. Tarmo is quite good in writing the description.. Hmm.. I wonder if people on that bus thought I'm crazy :p
Oh.. and the last page was very surprising.. A bit different from his usual style.. Curious? Buy it! LOL.. Hint: it was a photo of his friend, lovely girl, from california :)

Going to send this book to Indonesia as soon as my friend reply me with his mail address.. :)
But.. How if i send this book, and my friend ask me to buy tickets for him to go to Finland? Noooo..

Power of Agreement! :)

Remember the story in Genesis 11, about a group of people who decided together to build a tower that reached to the skies.
God took notice of what these people had agreed to do together.

His response? “If they can accomplish this when they have just begun to take advantage of their common language and political unity, just think of what they will do later. Nothing will be impossible for them!” (v. 6). According to God, agreement makes the impossible possible.

In Matthew 18, Jesus says to his followers, in New Living Translation “I also tell you this: If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you” (v. 19, NLT).

NIV--> “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”

If you agree with another person here on earth concerning anything you’ve asked God for, he will do it for you.

I love this version most!!

"I also tell you this: If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven WILL DO it for you. For where two or three gather together BECAUSE THEY ARE MINE, I am there among them."

Do you see how the verse begins with, “I also tell you this…”? This indicates that what Jesus is saying here relates to what he said just prior to this statement.

Even though you're alone, actually the Holy spirit is also agree with what you're praying (Matthew 9:29).. So, the minimum number is achieved.. But... Three will be better.. :) The power flowing out of agreement is, therefore, a three-person event: two people, plus God, agreeing for something to happen.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.”

A person’s faith can be attacked and defeated.

When our faith is attacked, we CAN lose our faith and, with it, the very thing or outcome we were believing for.

Coming into agreement with another person provides support for the faith point to which we’re trying to hold on.

The rest of Ecclesiastes 4:12 goes on to say, “Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” When you bring God into the agreement you have in faith with another person, He can undergird the faith you have together.

Hoahhh.. Start praying together, and come with agreement.. Ask your family, or your friend to put the same faith.. Agree with something :)
